1. i know toronto has wicked book-stores but this place on Broadway near West 14th stole my heart.
i’ve found stores that have a wide selection in terms of CATEGORIES of books…this had a select variety of categories but tonnes and tonnes of books WITHIN the category. it seems like a store where the staff sells what they’re interested in.
I bought “Gulliver’s Travels,” the Essential Hemmingway and “Reading Lolita in Tehran” at the store at Union Square. Then I stumbled upon their booth outside Central Park and got “The Elegance of the Hedgehog,” a collection of Odets plays, and “Letters To a Young Poet.”
Dreamy.
